English paper due tomorrow
How do you deal with procrastination? I have the MLA Works Cited page left as well as half of the conclusion but can't stop getting distracted, as writing this entry attests to. Is there anything I can do to concentrate better?

Poll #445211 School? No School?

Do you think there will be a full day of school tomorrow?

No, we'll have too much snow.
1(25.0%)
I think so.
1(25.0%)
It'll probably turn into a delayed opening.
0(0.0%)
We'll get a half day.
1(25.0%)
I wish we didn't but I'm pretty sure we'll have to go in anyway.

Would anyone be able to print two homework assignments for me that are due tomorrow? Both of the printers in my house are temporarily out of order. Just let me know and I'll email the work to you. Thanks.

In an English essay I wanted to use a quote from the introduction to the book. Unfortunately, the introduction isn't numbered so I'm at a loss as to how I would cite the excerpt. Any suggestions? I wrote "..." (Addendum:1970, Introduction). for now. Any advice would be appreciated.

Mr. Nuccio talks about the requirements for getting into AP English

I praise him for saying this (I wanted to run up to him and hug him):

"An AP class is for the average college freshman. Anybody who wants to do it can do it."

I swear that is what I heard him say. And Ms. Cantos heard him, too, but of course she didn't listen.

Too bad Mr. Scheiner wasn't there to hear him and side with him.

My hero.

Some from the illustrious Math department last year. Want to keep the tradition going.

"I'm serious. No one laughs harder than me when someone else falls."

"I think you put forth negative effort."

English assignment
In English I have to bring in something that I consider to be rare, valuable and/or finely crafted. I had an idea in mind from the start but I'm unsure if it's okay. This "project" is essentially a show-and-tell assignment. My plan was to bring in my copy of The Wizard of Oz in Russian. First off, it's valuable to me since it's the first book I have ever been attached to and loved. Secondly, it's bound in leather with beautiful watercolour illustrations, which counts for the valuable part as well as rare if the current tacky paperback-type novels are considered. Also, it's lasted for over seventeen years in very good condition and has no folds or stains. Does this sound acceptable?

now that we all kno i'm not worthy of nhs...
(and some un-honorable ppl are)
I'm assuming that i'd have to have taken a few art classes (and do exceedingly well in them) to get into the art honors society. is this true? anyone know?
and did my c- on the spanish 4 exams take away my eligibility for spanish honors society?

NHS Meeting, 9/13/04
Interesting meeting today.
As one of the NHS historians, it is my job to photograph *most* of our events.

Can anyone give me the dates for your personal volunteer work?

I will be working with the pizza sales, the holiday gift drive, and junior induction.

I would really like to photograph some of the tutoring events and the Thanksgiving food drive in addition to my commitments. Comment and let me know.

Wecome back...and a few questions
Welcome back, everyone. I hope all of you will enjoy your school year.
I have two questions:
1. Anyone know the final outcome of teachers who were let go?
2. I thought I heard that our school has three assistant principals now, but I wasn't sure. Can somebody fill me in on this?

I'm so confused

I heard, last year, that there will not be any schedule changes this year.

However, in the letter I got from Ms. Grey, she said that it's "important for you to follow your schedule as printed until and unless your counselor officially changes it."

Does this mean that I can take the Spanish exams, which I've been obsessing about, after school has started?

Current Mood: hopeful
